My boss's english is very poor - Part 2
Manpower Plan for Machine Shop Year 2007.
Presently Machine Shop Headcount is 30 for machinists include Leader.
Machine Shop got 4 leader, 2 at morning shift, 1 at 2nd shift and 1 and 3rd shift.
If need to run full force for machine shop I need 42 headcount for 3 shift.
Each shift need 12 machinists and 2 leader total is 14 each shift.
Machine Shop needs 36 machinists and 6 leaders to take care the production.
Presently only 26 machinists and 4 leaders so it needs to add in the manpower so that to able to fulfill the order that in-house make. Also that we are going to have addition machine coming at April.
Machine shop also needs to add in 2 programmers for the program section.
Reason is to make the production more efficiency and productivity if we have a good programmer at machine shop. If Machine having all this headcount it will be very useful to us to make full use the resource to fulfill the order given by the sale team.
Presently the machine shop unable to fulfill the order in time also due to partly our resource of headcount. As we recruited a new machinists but still need time to training them. It will be like 6 month to 1 year to over come the problem for machine shop. Like our turning section all are new machinists and most of our job is turning parts. So this is the impact that we are facing. I believe that by this year machine shop will be overcome all this past due or not in time delivery issue. As we are working in a team to make it happens in year 2007.
