Title :Collaborative Management of Electronics Contract Manufacturing
Objective: To study the current trends, associated issues, challenges, and future
prospects in Electronics manufacturing Outsourcing.
Scope:
With increased globalization coupled with uncertain economic climate, many global OEM companies have adjusted their business strategies and concentrated on their core businesses and competencies, and outsource non-core businesses and operations to contract manufacturers (CMs). The contract manufacturer (CM) performs manufacturing services for various brand leaders so that economy of scale is achieved through shared resources and utilization of common facilities. The main objectives and scope of this project are to map and analyse the current CM management system governing the business relationship between the OEMs and their CMs and to propose ways to ensure that the CM performs to expectations and achieve a higher supply chain performance.A case study of an OEM-CM collaborative arrangement in a high volume electronics manufacturing environment will be used for illustration.
Prerequisites: Interest in engineering management in an high-tech manufacturing environment

i think i'm choosing this... why? reason being.. i am doing it now already... haha one of my IA projects... ODM/OEM management... strategies... competencies... wow... industrial audit... hmmm... already done so much research on it... and got all the philips organization structure, model at hand and going OEM/ODM is the trend now in spore... hmmm so it might look good in my resume in future... i hope... haha...

hope i get that... hahah if not it will be another engineering management project bahz... maybe benchmarking lohz... if not den quality lohz...saw a few projects which are so similar to my IA projects that we are doing... RFID oso have lohz... haha i think its better to do something i know rather den choosing something totally new bahz... although some of the projects looks and sounds interesting hahah... but many looked chim and alien bahz.... ahahah... dunno oso.... after scanning thru the projects den i begin to think that mt IA projects are very useful and applicable haha... at least it gives us more knowledge about the current situtation in terms of engineering in spore bahz... hahah and i hope IA will end soon... haha... so i can go bk shopping... cant wait for the day to come lohz... hahah...

meet with boss just now... hes in super good mood... haha so we are hengs... hope tom he will be in good mood as well coz i meeting him one on one hahah... hes my direct boss mahz... hahah...

oh and i look forward to 15th april hahah coz will have half day off to go back NTU for some specialization and fyp talk... hahah...happy... coz can have half day mahz... and of course i'm meetin SISTAR!!! hhaha... sistar jio me to sit together during the talk hahah... coz he say he miss me... hahah of course lah... coz we are jie mei hua forever mahz hahah sistar never fails to make my day... even on msn... he just sounds so funny... so ah bengy haha... all the na beh... ho seh bo... ar ga chui ji... hahah... sistar is a very neat ah beng with mr kiasu hairstyle... hahah... looks like so explosion had happened up there lidat hahah... and his hair always stays in place for the whole day and that becoz he uses 2 types of gel to hold it hahah... which 2 i forgot liow... hahah oh... he used to have a even more bombastic hairstyle... i think whole ntu only he has... the M shape fringe... typical ah beng hahah

okies... so much about SISTAR... i gotta go watch liu jing sui yue le... luo jia liang is waiting for me... tata hahah
