Fernando Botero.... most sought after living Latin Amercian artists today... best known for his voluptuotsly plump figures and whimsical animals sculptures... and this is his first solo exhibition in South East Asia... so its an art show not to be miss!!! went to Singapore Art Museum yesterday with Jun to view his art work... his oil painting are so so so overwhemling... huge and his techniques... is certainly fabulous... both thumbs up!! As i looked through his painting i am able to realise some simlarity in his painting and the classical time... hehe... able to relate somethings i learn during art history to understand his works more haha... GV07 best GE!!! Viewing his works makes people feel happy... really... although he addresses serious issues... but his depiction of figures and objects are just so so so cute... they are all fat and big is volume... haha... to me an art work is successful when one can relate to it when they feel it... whether they like it.. dislike it.. find it beautiful... ugly... have questions... whatever... as long as it triggers ones feeling for it... it has successed...***
At the same time there was Russel Wong's photography exhibition... when to have a look as well... frankly speaking i don't really like his works... of course his techniques are fantastic but i just don't fancy portraits of famous celebrity... don't fancy photos that are taken in a studio with perfect lighting and all... i prefer a photo that tells a story... makes me wonder what the artisit is trying to tell his viewers... especially black and white photos... it feels like theres some kinda story behind them...

After viewing the exhibitions... went shopping with jun... saw this adidas original jacket... blue with orange strips... haha... like it so much... but it cost 119bucks... where got money to buy... haha... i still need to buy a MP3 player and a digital camera... hahah there goes my 1st mth hard earn pay hahah...
